At PROVA, equality between women and men is a priority. We are therefore proud to announce that our company has achieved a score of 95/100 on the Gender Equality Index. This index, set up by the public authorities, evaluates equal pay through five indicators. A slight pay gap was noted in favor of men, giving PROVA a score of 35/40 on this indicator. All employees returning from maternity leave during a pay rise period benefited from a pay rise, achieving the maximum score of 20/20. The indicator relating to individual increases shows a slight advantage in favor of women, offsetting the pay gap, with a score of 15/15. Equality is respected when it comes to promotions, with a score of 15/15. Finally, among the ten best-paid employees, men are slightly over-represented, but PROVA still achieves the maximum score of 10/10 on this criterion.
With this score of 95/100, PROVA demonstrates its concrete commitment to real professional equality and continues to work towards an ever more equitable and inclusive working environment.
What is the professional equality index?
The Professional Equality Index was introduced by the Law of September 5, 2018 for the freedom to choose one's professional future.
It enables the companies concerned to measure the pay gaps between women and men and to highlight the points for progress on which to act when these disparities are unjustified.
To do this, it assesses the level of equality between women and men out of 100 points , based on the following criteria:
pay gap between women and men,
gap in the distribution of individual pay rises,
number of female employees receiving pay rises on their return from maternity leave,
parity among the 10 highest earners,
gap in the distribution of promotions (only for companies with over 250 employees).
Most of the data to be taken into account can be found in the company's economic and social database (BDES).
All companies and economic and social units (UES) with at least 50 employees are required to calculate and publish their Index every year by March 1st.
